What a wonderful day you have made for me! I praise and worship You, and You alone. Help me to live today like I mean that! You are my God, my Help, my Love, my Joy, my Air and my Portion. I adore You. Holy Spirit, please fill me. I “need thee every hour.” Be with me. Place a guard over my heart, mouth and body. Teach me how to serve You. My deep desire is to please You. Teach me how.
The apostles returned to Jesus from their ministry tour and told him all they had done and taught. Then Jesus said, “Let’s go off by ourselves to a quiet place and rest awhile.” He said this because there were so many people coming and going that Jesus and his apostles didn’t even have time to eat.So they left by boat for a quiet place, where they could be alone. Mark 6:30-32
This is what I hear You saying to me. I expend so much energy serving my family, caring for others, anticipating needs. So much of me is spent on the ministry of home. There are “so many people,” so many things “coming and going” that I forget to nourish myself with the Bread of Life, with Living Water. I need this quiet place with You, this place of prayer, where all I can hear is the Footsteps of the Holy in my heart. A place where we, my Lord and I, can be “ourselves.” Where You have my undivided attention.
