FAQ

"Today's "balanced motherhood" is nothing more than the pursuit of perfection disguised as excellence. I want to be truly excellent because (unlike perfectionism) it leaves room for my humanity.

And my kids need my humanity, not perfection."

Frequently Asked Questions

01. Are there professional standards for the coaching industry?

Yes, there is a code of ethics espoused by the International Coach Federation. I was certified through Light University (not ICF), but I still follow the ICF ethics. To learn more about this, click here.

02. How will I know if you are the right coach for me?

During our initial conversations and/or Intro Session, together we will identify if this is an appropriate fit. So, before you say "yes," you will have a sample of what the coaching experience will be like. Until then, check out my website to learn more about me and how I flow!

03. What are the sessions like?

You will complete important homework before each session and come prepared. We will go over your greatest wins and trouble-shoot where your roadblocks and setbacks were since our last session. I will mentor you by offering creative expertise, and I will coach you by asking questions that help you shift your mindset. You will leave with an action plan (homework) until our next meeting. And we will be checking OFTEN.

04. What if I sign up for this and decide it is not right for me? Do you have a money back guarantee?

Sorry! I do not offer a money back guarantee. I work hard to make sure we are a match and that you are fully informed before making a decision to work with me. However, you are free to cancel your agreement with me at any time with no additional cost to you.

05. Can I contact you in-between our scheduled coaching sessions?

Yes! And I will be contacting you! So much of the power of coaching & working with me is my all-in approach. So we will be connecting OFTEN through the Nudge app, text, you name it!

06. Do you work with groups?

I love to work with groups of moms! It is where I started! I also offer this option because it is a more cost-effective way for you to get the coaching you need!

What is the difference between mentoring, coaching & counseling?

I get this question a lot.

Mentor/Coaching is a two-fold partnership between you and I. The first component: mentoring, is a supportive learning relationship between the Mentor/Coach who shares knowledge, experience, resources and wisdom with the Client who is teachable, ready and willing to benefit from this exchange, to enrich their maternal, personal, familial and spiritual journey.

The second component: coaching, is a biblical, thought-provoking and creative process that inspires the client to maximize personal, spiritual and familial/maternal potential. It is designed to facilitate the creation/development of personal, maternal and spiritual goals and to develop and carry out a strategy/plan fo achieving those goals.

I utilize both of these to help you live what matters to Jesus in a way that matters to Jesus.

It is imperative that you know COACHING IS NOT COUNSELING. Counseling is about looking backwards and coaching is about moving forward, FORWARD MOTION towards a goal. Coaching is for mamas who are emotionally stable and ready for change.
